Man City to offer Di Maria bumper deal

Manchester City are looking for wingers and are prepared to offer Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria a massive deal in order to get him to the Etihad Stadium.

  • Di Maria signed for Real Madrid from Benfica in the summer of 2010 for a sum of &euro;25 million plus &euro;11 million in incentives. He immediately began showcasing his quality and ended the season with an amazing 9 goals and 20 assists.<br />

    He has been in inspired form this year as well, scoring 4 goals and providing 11 assists in just 19 games for the club. These achievements have not gone unnoticed and Manchester City are looking to sign him in the summer.<br />

    In order to prise him away from the Madrid giants, City are willing to pay Real Madrid &euro;40 million, with the Argentine a massive &euro;220,000 per-week, putting him amongst the top earners at the Manchester club.<br />

    However, it is believed that Real want to keep hold of Di Maria for another season so as to get time to locate other replacements, with Lille's Eden Hazard on the top of Mourinho's wishlist.<br />

    Manchester City may also try to sweeten the deal by including wantaway winger Adam Johnson in a player plus cash offer.
