The recovery of Jack Wilshere from injury appears to be on track, as the England international midfielder reportedly had a positive scan on his ankle this week. Wilshere could return in mid-February.
Wenger said: "He had a very important scan on Thursday and that was very, very good, exceptionally good. The news we have for Jack is very positive. I count maybe mid-February for Jack."
Arsenal have been playing with the midfield trio of Aaron Ramsey, Alexandre Song and Mikel Arteta in recent weeks, but the Gunners are keen to bring back Wilshere as soon as possible and will be glad his recovery appears to be on track.
