Wolves scotch Steven Fletcher move talk

Wolves scotch Steven Fletcher move talk

10 January 2012 - 15:09

In form striker Steven Fletcher will be going nowhere, according to his manager Mick McCarthy. The Wolves forward has been in sterling form this year, scoring five goals in his last eight games; and Fulham reportedly expressed some interest in the talented striker.

  • Chelsea agree personal terms with Messinho
  • Arsenal very impressed by 41-goal striker ahead of possible move

  • But Mick McCarthy is desperate to keep hold of the player and is not willing to sell.

"There is not a chance of Fletch leaving. If people call, I'd tell them no. He's too valuable for us," said McCarthy.

"As regards his fitness, he's got a sore ankle. He rocked it in the FA Cup tie at Birmingham. He didn't train on Monday but he will be okay."
