Man Utd manager labels Suarez a disgrace

12 February 2012 - 14:39

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson branded Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez a 'disgrace' yesterday, after the Liverpool forward refused to shake the hand of United full back Patrice Evra.

  • £47m star to undergo Chelsea medical on Friday
  • Chelsea make first move to sign French centre-back
  • United won the game 2-1, but the events were overshadowed by Suarez's lack of respect for Evra during the pre-match buildup, where Suarez decided not to shake the hand of the French full back.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson suggested that Liverpool should sell the striker due to his disrespectful actions yesterday: “Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again. He could have caused a riot.”
