Chelsea target move for Porto frontman Hulk

Chelsea target move for Porto frontman Hulk

28 February 2012 - 04:54

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas admitted yesterday that he could raid former club Porto to sign Brazilian striker Hulk. The forward, valued at around 40 million GBP, is one of Europe's most feared strikers.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
 • Porto have no plans to sell Hulk, and have previously admitted that the player would cost 84 million GBP. But the striker is reportedly keen to link up with his former coach at Stamford Bridge.
"I see room for an explosive player on the wing, someone who is strong in one-on-one situations and Hulk fits that profile," said Villas-Boas.
"We have Kalou and Florent Malouda, both of whom are nearing the end of their contracts, while Juan Mata and Daniel Sturridge are the future.
"As such, there will surely be a place to fill."
