Arsene Wenger teases Man City

09 April 2012 - 07:32

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has teased Manchester City after the Citizens slumped to a 1-0 defeat to the Gunners courtesy of a Mikel Arteta goal. Wenger told reporters that City would probably now try to sign even more of his players.

  • Chelsea ready to offload two marquee players?
  • Liverpool want 23yo Portuguese star as Mohamed Salah replacement
  • In recent years, City have signed Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Kolo Toure from Arsenal, and are now expected to make a move for Robin van Persie in the summer.<br />

"You can take that both ways. Maybe they'll now want some others," said Wenger after the game."<br />

But Wenger thinks the title race is still open and City still have a chance to win:&nbsp;"They cannot afford to drop any points now. Once the team 'smelt the stable', it's difficult for them to drop points.<br />

"In French, you say when a horse smells its stable, it's difficult to stop them."
