Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been closely tracking the progress of Dinamo Zagreb's attacking midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The 18-year-old playmaker has drawn comparisons with Lionel Messi.
Dinamo Zagreb signed the youngster from LASK Linz in 2007, and since then the player has gone from strength to strength and appears regularly for Dinamo's first team.<br />
Kovacic has also been capped by Croatia's Under-21 international team. A Croatia youth international manager said of the midfielder: "I haven't seen a youngster with so much talent since the days of Robert Prosinecki".<br />
The Gunners have been scouting Kovacic for over three months and could make a move for the player next summer.
