Man Utd weigh up Frank Lampard move

Man Utd weigh up Frank Lampard move

08 January 2013 - 06:59

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a shock move for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. It is understood that United will make an offer to the England international in the summer.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • There are some doubts over the fitness of Darren Fletcher, whilst Paul Scholes could also finally hang up his boots in the summer; so Sir Alex Ferguson is on the look out for cheap replacements. United are not afraid to spend the £150,000 that Lampard is reportedly requesting at the Blues.

Chelsea have already told the midfielder that he has no future at Stamford Bridge once his contract expires this summer, despite the club's fans desperate to keep hold of the talisman attacking midfielder.

Lampard will turn 35 years old in June, but still thinks he has 2 years at the very top of his game before he needs to retire.

Lampard is also desperate to stay at Chelsea and is known to be very disappointed with the club as they look to let him leave for free this summer, but a move to Man United to work under Sir Alex will be hard for the former West Ham youngster to turn down.
