Chelsea defender Ashley Cole looks set to walk out on the Blues at the end of the season after failing to agree a new contract, and it appears that Real Madrid are the favourites to sign the England left back.

The 32-year-old has reportedly opened talks with Real Madrid's representatives and manager Jose Mourinho is hoping to bring the former Arsenal defender to the Bernebeu in the summer on a free transfer.<br />

The left back - capped 99 times by his country - has stalled on a new deal at Stamford Bridge for over 9 months, despite the Blues offering him a substantial improvement on his existing deal at the club.
