Newcastle plan to keep Coloccini

13 January 2013 - 08:37

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew told reporters that the club will do everything in their power to keep hold of star defender Fabricio Coloccini. The Argentinian centre back told the club that he wants a return to his homeland.

  • Coloccini reportedly instructed his agent to help him move back to his homeland as the centre back battles with personal issues. Coloccini only recently signed a fresh deal at St James' Park.

‘We’ll try to iron that out in the next few weeks,' said Pardew, when asked about the future of the centre back.

Coloccini's long term future at Newcastle remains in some doubt though, as the defender is reportedly pining for a move to Argentine club San Lorenzo.
