Ilkay Gundogan turns down Man Utd switch

30 January 2013 - 06:41

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan told reporters that a move away from the Bundesliga giants isn't of interest to him this month. Manchester United and Tottenham have both been monitoring the player.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Man Utd scouts have been monitoring the German in action in recent weeks, and sent glowing reports back to manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

But Gundogan will be staying at Dortmund for the time being.

“I know there was an offer for me,” the player said. “But who put in the offer was of no big interest to me.”
