Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland has turned down a move to Chelsea. The Blues were hopeful that Butland would be eager to move to the Premier League, but the keeper turned down the opportunity.
"Jack's enjoying playing for Birmingham and he is gaining valuable experience. He will listen to what any club that meets Birmingham's asking price has to say, but playing is of paramount importance for Jack," said the player's agent.
Chelsea are on the look out for a replacement for Petr Cech when he eventually quits the club; whilst young starlet Thibault Courtois is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid.
