Arsenal move for Capoue falls through

Arsenal move for Capoue falls through

31 January 2013 - 07:06

French club Toulouse have ruled out a move away for star midfielder Etienne Capoue. Queens Park Rangers, Arsenal and Everton have all been considering a move for the Frenchman.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • A lot depends on Arsenal's reported move for Everton star Marouane Fellaini, whom Arsene Wenger appeared to change his attentions to signing last week. Capoue had been his number 1 target at that point.

However, reports indicate that Everton were then keen to sign Capoue as a replacement for Fellaini, after a deal for Leroy Fer fell through.

Both teams will be disappointed to hear that Toulouse have no plans to sell their star player, though.
