Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has compiled a list of 6 players that he hopes to sign this summer, and FC Twente star defender Douglas is amongst them. The player is available for free in the summer.
The 25-year-old centre back has been with FC Twente since 2007, where he has gone on to help the Dutch side win the Eredivisie title. Since joining he has played over 100 games for his team and been persistently linked with a move away from the Netherlands.<br />
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers already has the likes of Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel to call upon, but with Jamie Carragher retiring at the end of the year and the so far less than impressive development of Sebastian Coates; Liverpool are now ready to turn to Brazilian defender Douglas instead.<br />
Douglas has also been linked with a move to Dutch champions Ajax.
