Fulham manager Martin Jol has indicated that his club have made initial enquiries regarding the availability of Aston Villa forward Darren Bent. The 29-year-old has been left out in the cold this year at Villa Park.
Martin Jol is desperate to bring in some fresh blood and sees Bent as the ideal strike partner for Dimitar Berbatov. Villa, though, are eager to recoup some of the expensive outlay they made on the forward and have told Bent's agents that they want £9 million to sell the striker.<br />
This season Bent has appeared just 15 times in the Premier League as Christian Benteke is now the preferred first choice striker.
