Real Madrid deny Ancelotti approach

Real Madrid deny Ancelotti approach

30 May 2013 - 14:31

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has denied suggestions that the club have made an approach for Paris St. Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian - who helped PSG to the Ligue 1 title this year - is currently favourite to take the job once Jose Mourinho leaves.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Ancelotti is currently the favourite but so too is Bayern Munich's former manager Jupp Heynckes.<br />

"Ancelotti cannot say he has an offer from Madrid because he does not have one," Perez said. "I wanted to bring Carlo here in 2005 and again in 2009. Now someone told us that his contract was ending this year, and that is not the truth. There are more coaches than him - a number have been in touch with us through their agents, but we have not reached any agreement with anyone. First the elections and from Tuesday we will see."<br />
