Manchester United have contacted Southampton regarding the future of young left back Luke Shaw. The 17-year-old is one of England's most promising stars and has 2 years on his current deal.
Man Utd were believed to be eager to bring Leighton Baines to Old Trafford as part of a deal that would find a long term replacement for Patrice Evra, who could be sold back to his former club Monaco.
Luke Shaw has attracted the interest of Arsenal and Tottenham, both of whom have signed young Saints talent in the past; with the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gareth Bale just some of the names off of their production line.
