Manchester United have contacted Southampton regarding the future of young left back Luke Shaw. The 17-year-old is one of England's most promising stars and has 2 years on his current deal.

Man Utd were believed to be eager to bring Leighton Baines to Old Trafford as part of a deal that would find a long term replacement for Patrice Evra, who could be sold back to his former club Monaco.<br />

Luke Shaw has attracted the interest of Arsenal and Tottenham, both of whom have signed young Saints talent in the past; with the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gareth Bale just some of the names off of their production line.
