Iago Aspas will have to pay a sum in the range of 4 million pounds from his own pocket to seal his move to Liverpool.
The Celta Vigo man’s much awaited transfer to the Reds has been impeded by Spanish authorities over some dispute related to his contracts. It is speculated that the Spanish forward may have to deliver an amount close to 4 million pounds to secure an Anfield transfer.
The dispute is a result of Aspas enlisting a third party of agents to negotiate him a deal with clubs while already under contractual terms with Aimsport Management Group. His agents filed an official complaint on Tuesday, to the Spanish Olympic Committee, the approved body that deals with agent disputes in Spain. The striker will have to pay his way out of this dispute.
The 25 year old has been long chased by a number of clubs, with Liverpool leading the race. He scored 12 goals in 33 appearances in La Liga this season. He had a buy-out clause of 10 million euros mentioned in his contract with Celta. Liverpool have eyed upon the striker to strengthen their striking options, more so after Luis Suarez seems intent on leaving for Real Madrid.
Aspas, however insists that he should not be looked upon as a replacement for Suarez, who has been strictly asked to stop flirting with Real Madrid and ask for a transfer if he really wants to leave the club.
