Newcastle plot move for Wilfried Bony

The Magpies are currently preparing a bid for highly-rated Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony. Newcastle face competition  from Everton, Swansea and Anzhi Makhachkala for the forward.

  • Alan Pardew is very keen to add the talented striker to his squad and the Magpies have shown their intention by tabling a £12million bid for the Ivorian.<br />

    However, It is known that the Eredivisie side are holding a fee of £15million for the 24-year-old. Bony had a great season in the Eredivisie scoring 31 goals flight last season and is now keen to test himself in the Premier League.<br /><br />Mega-rich Anzhi Makhachkala who have a large transfer budget could easily meet Vitesse's evaluation, while likes of Everton and Swansea are monitoring the situation around the player.<br />

    West Ham were also linked with the former Sparta Prague star but their interest has now cooled after the signing on Andy Caroll from Liverpool.<br />
