Newcastle slap £25m price tag on Cabaye

29 June 2013 - 08:22

Newcastle United's new Director of Football Joe Kinnear will scare off any potential suitors for 27-year-old star Yohan Cabaye with a massive £25m pricetag for the midfielder. PSG were amongst the teams interested.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Cabaye has been a revelation since joining Newcastle and is arguably one of the team's most important players at St James Park. New manager at Paris St Germain, Laurent Blanc, is known to be a huge fan of Cabaye's talents. However, Newcastle have told any suitors that signing Cabaye won't be cheap.

Monaco are also another team interested, but financial matters could make a move there a little more difficult. Additionally, Cabaye is eager to move to a team that can offer him Champions League football.
