  • Gomez has struggled to force his way into Bayern's first team last year, partially due to the impressive form of Mario Mandzukic. The German striker enjoyed some game time towards the end of last year, but new manager Pep Guardiola has told him he is free to leave.

Sporting Director at Bayern, Matthias Sammer told Bild: “Gomez has spoken to Guardiola, and Pep has decided that Mario won’t play. Everything else has not been decided yet.”
