Crystal Palace will not make a move to sign former player Wilfried Zaha on loan from Manchester United. There had been some talk of a return to Selhurst Park for the England under-21 international, but Palace manager Ian Holloway has insisted that will not be the case.
Ian Holloway is certain that new Manchester United manager David Moyes has plans for Zaha in his first team this year, and does not want to make a bid to sign the winger on loan for next season.
When asked if Holloway would make an offer for Zaha, he said: "I don't think for one minute I'd ever consider asking Davd Moyes right now. I don't think it's fair to the boy. He's got to have a go at Man United.
"I'm sure I know Moyes that well that if there was a club in the Premier League that Wilfried Zaha wanted to play for, if it wasn't Manchester United, I'm sure it would be us, so I'm sure the phone would ring.
"But, let's be perfectly honest, I think the boy is so exciting he's going to have a chance at Man United and I can see him getting in their first team and I genuinely mean that."
