• The Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has been busy this summer having acquired the signatures of five players so far, including four from La Liga. Now he looks to raid the Spanish league once more for Espanyol's Mubarak.
The Ghanaian International Mubarak, formerly of Elche and Villarreal joined Espanyol in a bargain £260k deal last season and had an impressive opening season.
The La liga side are expected to put up their midfielder for sale this summer as they look to balance their bank accounts, but their Vice President Luis Morlanes insists £3.9m will not be sufficient to price away their star.
He said: " We have received an offer of £3.9m from an European club, but we will not sell for this amount"
