Thiago Silva's agent confirms Paris St Germain stay

Defender Thiago Silva's agent has told reporters that he wants to stay at PSG. The player joined the French club last year and still has four years left on his current contract in the French capital. Silva has no plans to quit PSG despite talk of a move to Barcelona.

Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova is considering a move for a new defender and reportedly decided Thiago Silva is the best option available. The Brazilian defender signed for PSG from Milan last year. It is understood that Thiago Silva has no plan to join Barca anytime soon.<br />

"Thiago Silva is a Paris Saint-Germain player, he has a contract and he's going to respect it," said Silva's agent. "The rumours exist today as they did last year, but Thiago Silva is a PSG player and he will go to the end of his contract with his club."
