Arsenal target aims to extend his stay in the Premier League

20 July 2013 - 00:25

Arsenal's long term target Julio Cesar has announced his desire to exten his stay in the Premier League following the relegation of Queens Park Rangers last season.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Th Brazilian International had a great season in spite of the London club's poor show in the Premier League last term. The goalkeeper is now willing to leave the West London based and has suitors all over the European continent.

As Roma were regarded favourites to land the Brazilian star goalkeeper but the veteran is in no hurry of moving away from the Premier League.

He told Calciomercatonews.com: "I have been fine in the Premier League - we were relegated because the season was strange, but London is a beautiful city.

"I want to stay in England, where the football has impressed me, but I do not know what will happen."

Julio Cesar has been monitored for the past few months by the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as he looks for a goalkeeper who could give competition to their current number 1 Wojciech Szczesny.
