Despite Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney looking for a way out of Old Trafford, the England international will not be joining Paris St Germain after Laurent Blanc confirmed that he is not a target for the French team.

"He is an amazing player, his qualities are well known by everyone," Blanc told reporters. "But in attack we are well supplied.<br />

"We will rather look for players in midfield. If there should be another reinforcement, it should be in that position.<br />

"Rooney could play anywhere, but his best position is in the heart of attack."
