Mory Kone on Everton's transfer shortlist

21 July 2013 - 13:55

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has made an offer for Le Mans defender Mory Kone, believed to be in the region of 1.4 million Euros. The defender is available for a small fee as the player hopes to move to a bigger club in search of regular first team football.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Accoding to French paper L'Equipe, the defender is unhappy that he has yet to force his way into Le Mans' first team plans and is hoping a move to England will help boost his playing time. The Toffees are believed to be front runners for Kone's coveted signature.

The French under-19 international has also attracted interest from other parts of Europe as Greek side Panathinaikos and Spanish side Real Sociedad are also believed to be in the race for Kone's signature.
