Florentino Perez Insists Real Madrid Will Not Raid PSG

23 July 2013 - 17:21

Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, has revealed that coach Carlo Ancelotti is not looking to raid his former club for new signings. His statement will definitely bring relief to PSG fans who would not like to lose veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was linked with a move to Madrid.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • It was speculated that Ancelotti was keen to bring the powerful Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his teammate Marco Verratti to Real Madrid.
But Perez has quashed all such rumours and stressed that the Liga giants will not make an attempt to sign any PSG player this transfer season, although he had given signs of more activity on the transfer front earlier this month.
"Ancelotti has not asked us to sign any players from Paris Saint-Germain”, Perez said to L’Equipe.
"I can guarantee PSG fans that we will not go after any of their players. We will not attempt to sign Ibrahimovic, nor Verratti."
