Liverpool boss asks Arsenal to up their bid

<strong>Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has asked Arsene Wenger to increase their offer for striker Luis Suarez if they want to bring him to the Emirates this summer.</strong>

  • For the first time, the club has conceded that they might be willing to let the Uruguayan leave if the Gunners increaser their offer. <br />

    Arsenal have had an offer for £35 million rejected a week back but the Londoners' improved bid of £40 million plus addons triggered a clause in the striker's contract which Liverpool maintain that it was not his buy out price.<br />

    It is believed that Liverpool are looking at an offer in the region of £50 million for their disgruntled striker further dashing Arsenal hopes of securing his services. <br />

    Real Madrid look favorites now to cough up the money after having agreed a transfer for their Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli.
