Fiorentina make formal enquiry for Arsenal target Julio Cesar

Serie A side Fiorentina have reportedly made a formal approach with Championship club Queens Park Rangers for Brazilian International goalkeeper Julio Cesar.<br /><br />The 33-year-old has declared to the London side that he would be leaving Loftus Road to find new pastures elsewhere, as he tries to cement his place in the 2014 FIFA World Cup to be held in Brazil.

  • The Brazilian International was subjected to be closing in on a move to Premier League side Arsenal but Fiorentina have now joined the race for the star keeper.<br />

    QPR manager Harry Redknapp is keen on selling the player on a permanent basis as he terms a short-term move as "pointless".<br /><br />According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Fiorentina are interested in buying Julio Cesar and have started talks with the Championship outfit.
