Wenger: we're good enough

31 July 2007 - 15:36

Arsene Wenger has claimed that Arsenal are strong enough this season to mount a convincing challenge for the Premiership. After selling Thierry Henry some sectors of the media are claiming that Arsenal are doomed.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • But Wenger today has said that players such as Eduardo have come in, Bendtner has returned from loan and Walcott is to be an important member of the first team. Even more exciting at the weekend was young Kieron Gibbs vs. Inter Milan, who looks to be a very useful young player. Wenger has recently said he could sign "1 or 2" more players, but is believed to be rather content with his squad at this stage.
