Crystal Palace, Stoke join race for Charlie Austin

Burnley striker Charlie Austin has been linked with a move to both Crystal Palace and Stoke; and are last minute entrants into the race for Austin's coveted signature. The forward has also attracted the interest of Nottingham Forest.

  • Forest were believed to be favourites to sign Austin, but in a last minute twist both Crystal Palace and Stoke have entered the race for the 24-year-old striker.<br />

    The 6 foot 2 forward has scored 41 goals in 82 games for Burnley and has been linked with a move away from his current club for several months. The former Swindon striker &nbsp;has been lined up as a potential striking replacement for Michael Owen at Stoke whilst Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway is scouring Europe to find a new addition to his current crop of forwards.
