Steven Caulker completes Cardiff City move

Cardiff City have wrapped up a deal to sign Steven Caulker from Tottenham on a four year contract. Caulker arrives in Wales looking to push for a place in England's national side ahead of the World Cup.

  • The 21-year-old has joined Cardiff for a fee believed to be in the region of around&nbsp;&pound;8 million, smashing the previous transfer record paid for Andreas Cornelius at the beginning of the summer.<br />

    "First and foremost I want to say how happy I am to have signed with Cardiff City Football Club," he said. "I&rsquo;m delighted to be here and excited for this fresh challenge.<br />

    "I thank Tottenham for everything they&rsquo;ve done for me, having been there since I was a kid, but I&rsquo;m here to back myself up now and show what I can do. This is a fresh start, a new chapter and I&rsquo;m here to kick on."
