Ancelotti confirms Bale talks are still continuing

02 August 2013 - 14:19

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Los Blancos are still in talks with Tottenham Hotspurs over the transfer of Gareth Bale.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Newcastle make bid for Chelsea defender

  • Real Madrid have been chasing Bale's signature throughout this summer and are believed to have made an offer worth in excess of £100 million.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and manager Andre Villas Boas have been adamant over the Welshman's transfer status but it seems that the two clubs are finally negotiating over the player's fee.

"We will see what happens; it is between the two clubs," said Ancelotti. "Right now our team is very strong and we will have to see what happens in the future."

The 22 year old has had a terrific season with Spurs and is believed to be keen on a move to the Bernabeu this summer. Tottenham have offered him an improved contract desperately hoping to tie him down at White Hart Lane for a few more years.
