Arsenal set to bid for Alvaro Vadillo?

The Gunners are preparing a bid for highly-rated Real Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo, according to the Daily Mail.

Vadillo who is dubbed as ‘the new Cristiano Ronaldo’ is a reported target for the North London club as they look to add more depth to their attacking department this summer. <br />

Real Betis manager Pepe Mel claims that his young starlet ‘could be worth €12million’ after his excellent performances in Spain’s U19 European Championship side earlier this year.<br />

Mel in an interview with Marca said : "We are studying offers for him and there has been a concrete one recently from a foreign team"  <br />

Having sold Gervinho to Serie A outfit As Roma recently, the Gunners are short in options on the wing and the signing of Vadillo would be the perfect addition as he provides shear pace and talent. <br />

However, the Gunners may have to face competition from North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in their pursuit for the starlet's signature.
