Arsenal set to bid for Alvaro Vadillo?

The Gunners are preparing a bid for highly-rated Real Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo, according to the Daily Mail.

Vadillo who is dubbed as ‘the new Cristiano Ronaldo’ is a reported target for the North London club as they look to add more depth to their attacking department this summer. 


Real Betis manager Pepe Mel claims that his young starlet ‘could be worth €12million’ after his excellent performances in Spain’s U19 European Championship side earlier this year.


Mel in an interview with Marca said : "We are studying offers for him and there has been a concrete one recently from a foreign team"  


Having sold Gervinho to Serie A outfit As Roma recently, the Gunners are short in options on the wing and the signing of Vadillo would be the perfect addition as he provides shear pace and talent. 


However, the Gunners may have to face competition from North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in their pursuit for the starlet's signature.
