West Brom and Crystal Palace line up move for Efe Ambrose

07 August 2013 - 00:32

Premier League sides West Brom and Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing up a move to sign Celtic defender Efe Ambrose, according to the Mirror. The highly-rated Nigerian International had a great season with Scottish champions Celtic which has led to interest evolving in the player this summer, as he earned an International call-up in the process.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Celtic manager Neil Lennon is unwilling  to sell Ambrose this summer, having already lost two of his star players to the Premier League in the form of midfielder Victor Wanyama and striker Gary Hooper to Southampton and Norwich respectively.

New promoted Crystal Palace are keen on bringing the 24-year old to London as they look to fight for Premier League survival while West Brom may have cooled down their interest following the signing of Diego Lugano from French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
