West Ham United have reportedly started negotiations with Liverpool over a £6m deal for Stewart Downing. The Hammers had showed interest in the winger earlier this summer, with their manager Sam Allardyce backing away from making a bid due to financial reasons.<br /><br />West Ham have now made a renewed bid which could rise to £6m with add-ons, according to The Mirror. Stuart Downing is speculated to be in preliminary talks with the London outfit despite asserting earlier this summer that he would not consider an Anfield exit.<br /><br />The only stumbling block for the Hammers would be the player's salary which needs to be sorted out between West Ham and Downing, as the winger currently earns around £80,000 per week at the Merseyside club...
