Confirmed XI: Mikel Arteta makes nine Arsenal changes vs Ipswich Town

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made nine changes to the starting line-up for the Carabao Cup third round tie against Ipswich Town tonight.

  • The Gunners have had a perfect run with six straight wins and will be aiming to extend the run against Ipswich at Portman Road.

    Ahead of the game, Arteta has made nine changes to the XI.

    Kepa Arrizabalaga replaces David Raya between the sticks.

    In defence, Ezri Konsa and Riccardo Calafiori are rested, while Ben White has been ruled out due to a groin injury.

    Martin Zubimendi starts as the right-back tonight, while Myles Lewis-Skelly will operate on the opposite end.

    17-year-old Marli Salmon comes in to partner Gabriel in central defence.

    In midfield, Bruno Guimaraes and Mikel Merino get the nod. Declan Rice has been given a much-needed breather.

    There is an overhaul in attack. Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze start on the wings, with Max Dowman in the No. 10 role.

    Viktor Gyokeres leads the line for the Gunners.

    Confirmed XI (4-2-3-1): Arrizabalaga; Zubimendi, Salmon, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Guimaraes, Merino; Madueke, Dowman, Eze; Gyokeres.
