Chelsea will pursue French international defender Eliaquim Mangala until the end of the transfer window as Porto have reportedly rejected an enquiry from Jose Mourinho's side for the player. The centre back has played for the Portuguese club since 2011.
According to reports, Chelsea are hoping to use Jose Mourinho's relationship with his former club Porto to push through a transfer for Mangala before the end of the transfer window. Barcelona are also pursuing a new defender before the start of their season having already missed out on the likes of Daniel Agger.<br />
Chelsea have been linked with a host of new defenders but Mangala is believed to be Mourinho's preference in the run up to the end of the transfer window.
