Bale nearing Madrid move as Villas Boas scouts replacements

22 August 2013 - 15:59

Reports in the media are indicating that a deal between Tottenham and Real Madrid involving the transfer of Gareth Bale has already been agreed.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The 24 year old has been the primary target for the La Liga giants throughout this summer and it is believed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has finally given up in his efforts to keep the star at White Hart Lane.

The Londoners are set to recover the money they have spent already this summer through Bale's sale and are already considering a move for Roma's Erik Lamela. Anzhi star playmaker Willian is believed to have passed his medical at the club and is currently discussing personal terms with the club.

However, manager Andre Villas Boas continued to remain tightlipped over Bale's supposed exit from the clud ahead of their first leg Europa League play off against Dinamo Tbilisi on Wenesday night.

"That is not true," said the Tottenham manager when asked if a deal for Bale has been agreed.

"Ideally we want to keep everyone to make us stronger - that is the ultimate objective of the club," the Spurs manager said.

"In the end, anything can happen. We are dragging ourselves into the last weeks of transfer activity and it can become very, very frantic."
