Swansea City thrash Petrolul Ploiesti 5-1 in Europa League clash

Swansea city thrashed Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti 5-1 in the Europa League playoff tie at the Liberty Stadium. A brace from the rejuvinated Wayne Routledge and Spaniard Michu in the first half ensured a 3-0 margin before the first whistle.

    Elsewhere, there were wins for Dynamo Kiev, Real Betis, Genk, Braga, and Trabzonspor while VFB Stuttgart were on the end of defeat by Rijeka, as were Italian side Udinese by Liberec.
