Portsmouth's defender Sol Campbell has said that beating European qualfying rivals Man City will do the side wonders for their campaign this season. Sven-Goran Eriksson has marked this game as decisive to their season.

The 33-year-old England international told PfcTV: "Manchester City have started fantastically. They have brought a lot of new players in and there are some really good players there.



"But we are at home, we are playing well and the lads are getting into gear now. If we have ambitions to do well this season, then this is the sort of game we need to win.



"We have got a good squad and the spirit is good. We have got people who can com off the bench and make a difference as well."
