Arsenal target Julian Draxler set for Schalke exit?

01 September 2013 - 10:15

Arsenal target Julian Draxler has confirmed that he could head for an exit from Schalke 04, if the Bundesliga outfit accept a transfer offer for his services.

  • Arne Slot confirms big Liverpool injury blow
  • Bournemouth close to signing Chelsea defender?

  • Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has yet to make a major signing this summer, having only added Yaya Sanogo and Mathieu Flamini on a free transfer to the Gunners' ranks, and reports in England suggest that the North London outfit have made a late bid for the talented midfielder.

Draxler has admitted in an interview that he would not go against the German side, if they were to sell him off to another club.

He was quoted saying on Goal.com : "I don't mind people speculating, I'll let them have their fun. If nothing extraordinary happens, I will be here on Monday.

"But Schalke could change their mind and say 'Well, 40 or 30 million euros is not so bad,' and then I can't do much about it."

"If the club absolutely wants to sell me, I will not say 'No, I want to stay.'"
