WBA have had a bid turned down for Nigeria international striker Victor Anichebe. Steve Clarke had hoped to sign the forward from Everton and had an offer of £3.5 million rejected.
WBA manager Steve Clarke will now turn his attention back to Stephane Sessegnon of Sunderland and Morgan Amalfitano of Marseille.
Anichebe has yet to force his way into Everton's first team plans this year and with the likes of Nikica Jelavic and Kevin Mirallas ahead of him, Anichebe is known to be ready to look for more regular first team football elsewhere.
