Ramos revolution is working

Ramos' revolution is working

11 November 2007 - 19:34

Juande Ramos is showing why he is so highly rated as Tottenham secured an emphatic 4-0 victory over managerless Wigan today. Goals from Darren Bent, Aaron Lennon and Jermaine Jenas (2) were enough to get Spurs only their second victory of the season.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The rout began on 13 minutes when Jermaine Jenas slotted home from close range at the near post after Robbie Keane had supplied a low cross from the left hand side.

Jenas then added to the score on 26 minutes when Dimitar Berbatov supplied a through ball from his own half, the Wigan defenders stopped thinking that Keane was offside, the linesman didn't raise his flag as Jenas ran onto the ball from an onside position and rounded the keeper Chris Kirkland to score from close range.

Aaron Lennon then found himself on the scoresheet on 34 minutes to put Tottenham 3-0 up as they went in for half time.

Then, the improving Darren Bent cropped up on the scoresheet to make it 4-0 later on, the striker had come on for Keane and within three minutes he shot and scored the fourth goal against a demoralised Latics side.
