Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has praised the club's star midfielder Yaya Toure following his impressive performances this season.
The Ivorian International notched up his fifth goal of the season on Tuesday, as City hammered Championship outfit Wigan Athletic by a scoreline of 5-0 in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
Pellegrini told Sky Sports: "He is a very important player for the team.I don't know what happened last year but all the players are playing with trust and a goal always give them trust. I think it is very important. He is really in a good moment."
Manchester City resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
