John Terry set for new Chelsea contract

30 September 2013 - 08:08

Chelsea captain John Terry has opened talks with club representatives over a new contract. It is understood the defender is after a further two year extension to his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • Terry had an impressive game at the weekend against Tottenham, scoring the equalising goal against Spurs. The defender is now hopeful that with continued good form he will earn a brand new contract.

"I think he always has a future the way he is playing - he has a future in here (at Chelsea), in China, or wherever he wants to have a future," said Jose Mourinho after the Blues' game this weekend.
