Martin Jol confident of keeping Fulham in the Premier League

30 September 2013 - 13:57

Fulham manager Martin Jol has insisted that he will keep the cottagers in the Premier League despite having a poor start to the campaign.

  • Chelsea beat Inter Milan to sign £47m Italian star
  • Tottenham finally agree terms with Man Utd target
  • The West London side are in the search for their first home win of the season, having lost their last encounter at the Craven Cottage by a 2-1 scoreline to Cardiff City on Saturday.

Fulham presently lie in the relegation places, but Jol is confident of turning things around.

Jol told the media : "The devil was playing with us. If you concede goals that late, it's awful. We are very close. It's not easy to win games.

"I can appreciate fans are getting a bit nervous, or other people. If they invest money in the club, they would like to be in the top 10.

"The only risk I can see is that we will still be near the bottom at the end of the season. I never did that [took part in a relegation battle]. I feel I can keep them up, but it's not about me."
