Celtic's Neil Lennon shows his discontent over Scott Brown's red card

02 October 2013 - 04:17

Celtic manager Neil Lennon feels that Scott Brown should not have been awarded a red card following the club's 1-0 defeat at home to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Brown was given his marching orders just before the hour mark, as he was deemed to have kicked Neymar after fouling him.

Barcelona with their numerical advantage took control of the game, as Cesc Fabregas scored the winner in the 75th minute. <br /><br />The Celtic Boss told BBC Sport: <em>"I'm not convinced it's a red card. If there's any contact it's very minimal. It changed the game. <br /><br />"It's hard enough playing against Barcelona with 11 men, never mind 10 men. Neymar has a reputation in the game. Sometimes he exaggerates things a little bit."</em><br />
